A native of Toronto, Canada, Cherrie Woods has over ten years experience in communications in a variety of sectors including government, nonprofits and arts and cultural institutions. She currently serves as a PR consultant for Ntouch Communications Group. Woods has also held high profile communications positions at the Detroit Institute of Arts, Toronto Social Services, Toronto Public Health, and Harbourfront Centre (Canada’s premier arts and entertainment center).

Woods is one of the founding members of the National Black Public Relations Society – Detroit chapter, serving as president for two years, as well as a current member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). She has been featured in several publications for her communications work including Sister 2 Sister magazine, the Toronto Star, Toronto World Art Scene, Art Exchange (Detroit), Tellusdetroit.com and 2007 Who’s Who in Black Detroit.
